Grass With Pizzazz

You proudly said the words: "Let there be"

Out of the ground I sprung, covered in green

I wasn't sure what my purpose was for

You'd tell me after I make a creation before

Then molded man from the earth and it's dirt

And You told me together we will work

The sun will give the food I will need

Then I will disperse air so the man can breathe

Nourishment I'll be for the cattle and sheep

Lord, Ijust pray I get rain once a week

Barefoot children run and play above me

Looking down from heaven -- beauty You see

I may not be pretty like the daffodil

But an that matters is to follow Your will

God, Your plan for me is perfect and true

And, I will grow daily because of You
