A Prayer

Jesus, name above all, Your name most high

Wash me in Your blood and cleanse me from sin

You left glory in the depths of the sky

To come to the earth and dwell among men

Born in a manger filled with strands of hay

You lived Your life for us to see the way

You were sent so that we may receive life

You spread the Word that's sharper than a knife

Then on that fateful day on top of a hill

You laid it all down and gave Your esteem

You could've been rescued if not for Your will

For us, that we may forever be redeemed

You said we can trust in You in all our ways

If we do, we can feel Your love and grace

I will see you then on thejudgment day

And burn with passion until I see Your face
